Daily writing prompt
What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?

The first wake-up call of the day is a very busy time, my wife and I have two children.

We get up at 6:30 a.m. and have until 7:45 a.m. when my children take their bus to school. This moment is very intense, we have to wake them both up in general they like to listen to music on Spotify, during this time we put away the dishes from the day before and also prepare their lunchboxes.

Then comes breakfast time, my son and my daughter each want a different breakfast which doesn’t make the task easy, and they like to take their time, yes you understood correctly it requires a lot of patience !! At this point it is already 7:15 a.m. and the stress is starting to mount. It’s time for them to go wash and brush their teeth to look nice at school.

Then comes the choice of clothes, they have a uniform, but we always have to know if today it is sport or not. Then it’s time for the time check. Generally it’s already 7:30 a.m., and therefore time to put on the shoes and socks, which takes forever if we don’t have a watchful eye on them as one n he’s not playing Nintendo Switch!

Yes, patience, patience and above all, don’t get angry and don’t kill one of your children. Finally the time of 7:40 a.m. arrives, I take the lead by going to the meeting point to make sure we don’t miss the bus. My wife and children arrive at exactly 7:45 a.m., generally the bus is always between three and five minutes late, which saves our lives.

Here are some tips for those who have a peaceful morning and no children:

  1. Wake Up: Begin by waking up at a consistent time each day to regulate your body’s internal clock.
  2. Hygiene Routine: Start with basic hygiene tasks such as brushing teeth, washing face, and taking a shower.
  3. Stretching or Exercise: Many people like to start their day with some light stretching or a workout session to wake up their body and mind.
  4. Healthy Breakfast: Fuel your body with a nutritious breakfast to provide energy for the day ahead.
  5. Planning and Organization: Spend a few minutes planning out your day, setting goals, and prioritizing tasks.
  6. Mindfulness or Meditation: Some people find it beneficial to practice mindfulness or meditation to set a positive tone for the day and reduce stress.
  7. Reading or Learning: Dedicate some time to reading or learning something new to stimulate your mind and expand your knowledge.
  8. Review Goals: Take a moment to review your long-term goals and remind yourself of what you want to achieve.

Remember, everyone’s morning routine can vary based on personal preferences, schedules, and lifestyle. The key is to find a routine that works best for you and helps you start your day on the right foot.
